Fall-blooming plants are critical for monarch butterflies, which need to fuel up on high-quality nectar and be fit enough for their migration to their overwintering site in the Oyamel Fir forests of central Mexico.
Fall-blooming plants are equally essential for next year's bumble bee queens. They must have enough fat reserves to hibernate through the long Ontario winter.
