Calamint, Clinopodium arkansanum
Calamint is a low-growing, cute plant covered in trumpet-shaped white to lavender-coloured flowers. It blooms in June and July. The plant has very attractive foliage, spreads through runners and can fill in empty spaces, forming a mat. It is great for borders and rock gardens. It has a minty fragrance.

Growing Conditions:
Calamint is naturally found in limestone glades, bluffs, along streams in gravel bars and in wet meadows. In the garden, it thrives in full sun in sandy, rocky, alkaline limestone soil. It likes moist but well-drained soil but can withstand dry soils. It is ideal for borders, as groundcover, in open woods and rock gardens.
